The Parisian shaman Julien Magot offers up a delicious blend of psychedelic drone blues. Like a depressed crocodile hunter, he travels through deserts and forests, seeking the prey that will restore his "smile" [Sourire]. This album likes to loose itself as it looses us, while navigating between experimental sounds, ruptures and repetitions, combining voodoo guitars, distant melodies, insistent atmospheres and bayou grooves.
